How to set up your roster, submit nightly tip outs, and share reports with staff.

Before Your First Shift — Set Up Your Roster
This takes 5 minutes and only needs to be done once. Update it whenever your staff changes. Once names are saved, they'll appear in every dropdown automatically.

1Open the AppGo to apps.ccgphl.com/tipout/ on the venue iPad (or bookmark it to your home screen).

2Select Your VenueTap the Venue dropdown at the top and select your location. Always do this first — the dropdowns won't load without it.

3Open the Staff ManagerTap 👥 Update Roster in the top right corner. The Staff Manager will open.

4Add Your EmployeesYou'll see sections for: Bartenders, Barbacks, Servers, and Support (Bussers / Runners / Hosts).
Go through your current schedule. Type each employee's full first and last name into the text box under their role, then tap + Add. Repeat for every employee. -
5Remove Old StaffIf someone no longer works with you, tap the × next to their name to remove them.

6Close the Staff ManagerDone. All saved names will now appear as dropdown options every time you use the app.
Every Night — How to Submit a Tip Out

1Select Your VenueTap the Venue dropdown at the top. Do this before anything else.

2Select Your ShiftUnder the Bartender tab, tap the Shift dropdown:
AM Shift = day / early shift | PM Shift = evening / closing shift -
3Support Person? (Yes or No)Yes = you have bussers, runners, or hosts working tonight.
No = no support staff tonight. AM shifts are often No. -
4Enter Bartender POS NumbersIn the Bartenders section, select each bartender's name from the dropdown, then enter their numbers from the POS:

Need more rows? Tap + Add Employee. Totals calculate automatically. -
5Fill In Hours (Payout Section)Scroll down to the payout sections (Bartenders / Barbacks / Support). Select each person's name and enter their hours worked. The app calculates their tip due automatically. If a name field turns red, hours are missing — fill them in.

6Switch to the Server TabTap SERVER at the top. Same process — select names, enter POS numbers, fill in hours.

7Email a Copy (Recommended)Tap 📧 Email Myself Report in the top right corner. A prompt will appear — type in your email address and hit Send. You'll receive a full breakdown in your inbox within seconds.
Any employee can do this — hand them the iPad, they tap the same button and enter their own email. No account needed. Great for personal records and settling any disputes. -
8SubmitTap Submit Bartender Report (and/or Submit Server Report) at the bottom of the page to officially log it. The app resets automatically — you're done.
Common Situations
I don't see a Barback (or Server, or Support person) in the dropdown ▼
That means no one in that role has been added to your roster yet. Tap 👥 Update Roster, find the correct section, add them, and close. Their name will appear in the dropdown immediately.
There's no Barback working tonight ▼
On a PM Shift, the app will ask you to account for barbacks. If there's no barback tonight, find the "None tonight" checkbox and check it. This tells the app to skip that section and calculate without them.
There's no Host or Support person tonight ▼
Toggle "Tipping out a support person?" to No, or check "None tonight" in the Support section if it appears. Either way the app will calculate correctly.
I need to add a new employee mid-shift ▼
Tap 👥 Update Roster, add them to the correct role, close the Staff Manager — they appear in dropdowns immediately. No need to restart or refresh.
A name field is highlighted red ▼
You selected a name but left the hours blank. Fill in their hours and the red highlight will clear. The app won't let you submit with missing hours.
Someone is listed under the wrong role ▼
Open the Staff Manager, tap × next to their name in the wrong section, then re-add them under the correct role (Bartenders, Barbacks, Servers, or Support).

Tips & Reminders
- Always select your venue first — dropdowns won't load without it.
- Full names only when adding staff — no nicknames. Must match payroll.
- Hours must be filled in for every name you select — the field turns red if missing.
- Any employee can email themselves a copy using the 📧 Email button — just type their address. No account or login needed.
- The app resets automatically after a successful submit — you're ready for the next shift.
